most everything. It is better than jacking the car everytime you need to be under it for anything, for the most part you can use a creeper and it will fit in a standard garage since the lift level is low. Even though you really are jacking it up with this anyway. However, you still have to jack it up (on the ramps) to do any wheel off work (suspension, tires, brakes) and with it lifted like this you can only jack one corner at a time. Unless you build something to mount your floor jack on to put under the center. Of course this problem is true for any drive on style lift. There may also be a problem using this lift to pull a trans. I am not sure how low a trans jack that you might rent would go, and again using the floor jack method to drop the trans would be comlicated by the height. I also think that since it is not all that easy to get up and down (no buttons to push since it is manual) it may complicate things like an engine pull. You work under the car a while, but when it is time to be up top you can't reach stuff unless you are Shaq size (leaving me a Phuong out). Then back under etc. So it might be a pain. And since your floor jack is what works this thing (why its cheap) you have to have one. Just things to ponder. Now if someone wants to ship me one for testing......
